The Prayer I Wrote on the Back of a Photograph

WHEN EVEN MY PRAYERS FELT EMPTY

When I was a teenager, I lost my mother — our family’s strength and provider.
Her passing left a silence so deep that even my prayers felt empty.
I was angry at God, heartbroken, and afraid.

We were so poor that when guests came to visit, we had no chairs for them to sit on.
There was no food, no security, no comfort.

THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGED

One night, in complete desperation, I cried out to God.
With no journal or notebook, I found an old photograph and wrote my prayer on the back of it.

I asked God to help me go to school — because my mother had promised that education would be our way out of poverty.
That simple act of faith — that scribbled prayer — became my first journal entry.
It was my soul’s letter to Heaven.

GOD ANSWERED A PRAYER WRITTEN IN PAIN

Eighteen years later, I now hold three degrees — and I never paid a single dime for any of them.
God heard me.
He answered that prayer written in pain.
That moment became the foundation for the work I do today.

WHY I CREATED THE FAITH + FOCUS JOURNAL

That’s why I created the Faith + Focus Journal(coming soon).
Because I know what it feels like to pour your heart out to God with nothing but tears and faith.
This journal is for the woman who’s believing for breakthrough, rebuilding her discipline, or rediscovering her focus.

Each page is a safe place — a space to be real, to release, and to remember that your story isn’t over.
It’s proof that God still redeems, still restores, and still writes beauty from ashes.

A WORD FOR YOU

So write your prayers.
Record your progress.
Let your faith have paper.
